Guiliana Rancic has gotten a lot of hate from the Internet after she slammed Zendaya Coleman’s dread locks. Now, though, blasting the new star of “Fashion Police” has gotten air time on “The View” as its hosts have taken their time to dissect Rancic’s insensitive comments.

“Maybe it’s time for the show to turn into something else,” Whoopi Goldberg said, referring to some changes that were implied on “Fashion Police” following the tragic death of Joan Rivers last September.

“Joan was one of a kind. There’s nobody like her. There’s nobody as funny. There’s nobody who can do what she did.” It would appear that this was Goldberg’s manner of discreetly comparing Rancic to the incomparable Rivers.

Rivers, who had passed away at 81 years old, was popular for her candid humor and harsh criticisms. Rancic, who might have attempted to take a page of the fashion icon’s book, tried dishing out criticisms following the recent Oscars event. She chose to bust Coleman’s hair style and her comments were not taken lightly, according to Us Weekly.

The 40-year-old Rancic stated that Coleman’s hair must have smelled like patchouli and weed. Coleman, who has gotten wind of the diss, at only 18 years old, took the high road. Instead of firing back, she simply gave an impassioned response about the stereotype and merely asked for an on-air apology from Rancic.

Coleman took to Instagram to give an eloquent and measured response, as per a separate Us Weekly report.

“Studies have shown that even though we try to act without prejudice, sometimes, it’s just hidden inside us due to our past or surroundings,” her post said. "It’s our job to spot these issues within others and ourselves and destroy them before they become hurtful. I have so many people looking up to me that I couldn’t be scared, wait it out, nor could I just stand up for me. I had to do it for WE.”

“I have had dreads for 40 years,” said Goldberg. “Never have I smelled like patchouli. It’s a stereotype that she put on. They associate dreads with something else, which many people have done. This is what Guiliana did, and that’s why she’s getting a lot of poop.”
