Aging is but a normal process of life. However, there are numerous ways on how to deal with aging of the skin. There are many reasons why the face and neck are most prone to skin aging. Skin changes in those areas make the person look older than his or her age and methods to help prevent it are essential.

According to statistics, many Americans spend about 9 million dollars each year on anti-aging products. Furthermore, anti-aging skin care products are estimated to increase for about 18% constant value growths.  

Due to the recognized importance of keeping the skin young-looking and healthy, more individuals are opting to use anti-aging products. Hence, it made the industry one of the best in the market today. In fact, global anti-aging products market reaches $291.9 Billion by year 2015.

There are various reasons why the face and neck are more prone to skin aging effects than other parts. For one, facial aging refers to skin changes in the face as one age. The skin changes especially in the deeper tissues of the face and neck.

Sun exposure is the number one cause of premature aging due to the fact that it is not covered and directly affected by the ultra violet rays from the sun's rays. Furthermore, facial can make the face look older and prolonged expressions can make the lines more noticeable.

Next, gravity pull causes stretching of the supporting ligaments of the face and neck. As a person ages, the ligaments become weak and in time, they may look loose and saggy.

The neck is significantly affected by skin aging because it is exposed to the dangerous ultra violet rays of the sun. UV rays create free radicals that damage the skin cells through oxidative stress. The skin is thinner than other parts of the body and has a dissimilar collagen content and distribution making it prone to premature aging.

Skin care is important to prevent the skin to look older and lose its youthful glow. Aside from having a healthy lifestyle, one essential way is to use anti-aging products which will aid skin repair.
