While the latest reports on the upcoming "Prometheus 2" details reveal that the Ridley Scott film will no longer focus on the xenomorphs, this does not mean no deaths in the upcoming sci-fi movie.
Director Ridley Scott shared details about the xenomorphs in a report by Screen Rant and said, "I think it wears out a little bit. There's only so much snarling you can do. I think you've got to come back with something more interesting. And I think we've found the next step. I thought the Engineers were quite a good start."
Apart from that, Scott also said, "The alien's real, which is why it's probably one of the scariest monsters in film history. So with 'Prometheus 2,' what I'm trying to do is reintroduce a fresher form of alien in the third act."
Basically, there's still probably going to be some sort of xenomorph come "Prometheus 2" release date, but the focus of the movie won't be the aliens this time. For those who haven't seen "Prometheus," it can be recalled that Noomi Rapace's character, Elizabeth Shaw, and Michael Fassbender's David were the only ones left alive. He said, "You can't have a person go off into the galaxy and have a person who's still got his head off. Once that head goes back on, he's really dangerous, but he's also very seductive, so maybe he'll persuade her to put the head back on."
