Rumor has it that Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves are about to go through a divorce. According to Classicalite, Alves had had enough of her husband’s work overload.
Although the actor’s fans and critics have praised him for his recent lineup of Hollywood blockbusters, especially after he won Best Actor in last year’s Oscar Awards, his wife is not completely happy. McConaughey has been taking on one huge role after another that the 32-year-old Alves feels like she is raising their three children all by herself.
The couple got married in 2012 and have actually been one of the industry’s smoother and quieter marriages. They have had three children since they tied the knot, Levi, Vida, and Livingston.
McConaughey reportedly has four films in the works right now, leaving Alves to care for their kids all by herself. According to the Celebrity Dirty Laundry report, they have actually “been fighting nonstop over his hectic work schedule.”
“Matthew thinks that Camila should be grateful for the great life he is able to give their family,” an insider told Star Magazine. “She didn’t sign up to, basically, be a single mom. She wants more balance, but he’s reusing to lose momentum in his career. Matthew lived the life of carefree, wandering dude for so long. Taking so many jobs gives him that alone time back.”
However, Gossip Cop is convinced that the divorce rumors surrounding this power couple are false. “She and the kids are with him,” a source said. “The family travels everywhere he goes. They are never apart.”
As it would turn out, the fact that McConaughey has decided to take on a long list of Hollywood blockbusters, distance was never an issue in their family. It looks like his female throng of fans will have to stop rejoicing over the divorce rumors after all.

He recently opened up to Neil Daniels about how he dumped Penelope Cruz after he saw his now-wife. Apparently, while he and Cruz were drinking, he saw Alves walk in the bar and immediately fell head-over-heels for her, as reported by Her.
“There’s a bit of a language barrier,” he said, referring to his short time with Cruz. “But, it’s like poetry when it happens. What I really love about her is that she sees everything for the first time, every time. And, she’s one of the best listeners I’ve ever met.”
