Apple iOS 8.2 focuses on security but misses a few points in the latest upgrade.

While the latest Apple iOS 8.2 focuses big on security, there are still common problems encountered after downloading and installing the update. Here is a rundown on the issues and the quick fixes to overcome the problems.

First and foremost is the complaint on installation problems. According to some users, while downloading and installing iOS 8.2 update, the process gets stuck and installation freezes. This is a relatively simple issue and can be quickly restored by pressing the power and home button at the same time to hard reset the device.

Like the OS X Yosemite update, iOS 8.2 apparently causes Wi-Fi problems for some users. Although this is not a new issue for iPad and iPhone users, it's a pretty annoying problem especially when connection gets cut intermittently. While there is no specific and full proof solution for this, some have followed a simple resetting and things quickly go back to normal.

The iPhone or iPad's network device should be reset. In order to do this, go to your device's settings, choose General, select Reset, and then reset network settings. The device will then reboot and hopefully, wi-fi issues are fixed.

A more hardware-related issue apparently brought by downloading and installing iOS 8.2 update is the battery problem. Many have complained about the update draining power and shortening battery life significantly, and sadly there really isn't a quick fix for this issue. You may have to do a hit-or-miss with the solutions listed here.

First, simply reset your iPhone or iPad. Usually when the battery heats up, a restart could bring things back to normal and hopefully will get your battery normalized. If this doesn't work, there are other things to try. Resetting the settings is another solution: go to Settings, then General, choose Reset and select Reset All Settings.

If this doesn't work, the last effort will be to reinstall iOS 8.2 update, but make sure you backup your data as reinstalling will wipe your iPhone or iPad completely.
