Coconut oil has been hyped as the newest wonder organic oil worldwide. In fact, it is branded as the amazing cure-all ingredient. With many accompanying benefits and uses, it's no wonder why it has been gaining much popularity globally. It can offer head to toe health benefits from simple ailments to prevention of Alzheimer's disease.

In many tropical countries, the copious supply of coconut trees make coconut oil an everyday chum in the kitchen as well as for cure of ailments. According to data, the oldest resource for published research on coconut oil benefits, coconut oil is an amazing oil with various health benefits both for the body and the skin.

Throughout history, coconut oil was used by many civilizations for cure of illnesses and for beauty purposes. It was used for the skin and hair.  Coconut oil has been used as an intensive hair conditioner. It works by repairing damaged hair and bringing in moisture to hair strands. It contains antimicrobial lipids like caprylic acid, capric acid, and lauric acid which have antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial properties that can battle microorganisms to prevent illness and infection. It helps the endocrine system to be working well as it was studied to improve thyroid health especially those with hypothyroidism.

Lastly, it can be placed on wounds to avoid infection. It acts as a barrier on the skin to avoid microorganisms to penetrate the skin. It keeps the skin soft, smooth and young-looking.
