"Captain America: Civil War" is scheduled to start filming on Apr. 1, and is expected to be released in theaters on May 6, 2016.

The film will be tackling the Avengers' fallout after their "Avengers: Age of Ultron" adventure.

With several ethnicities for the extras being sought, casting notices have been distributed in Atlanta for the filming schedule. However, there is still a possibility that the production could start earlier. Anthony and Joe Russo, directors of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier," will be returning to direct the upcoming sequel.

It has been previously reported that Daniel Brühl will join the cast as Baron Zemo, also known as Helmut Zemo. His character blames Captain America for his father's death and follows in his father's villainous steps.

"Following the events of Age of Ultron, the collective governments of the world pass an act designed to regulate all superhuman activity. This polarizes opinion amongst the Avengers, causing two factions to side with Iron Man or Captain America, which causes an epic battle between former allies," the film's synopsis stated.

"In 'Captain America: Civil War,' billionaire Tony Stark is pitted against Captain America aka Steve Rogers in an ethical face-off over the U.S. government's Superhuman Registration Act, which requires all superpowered individuals register their powers and report to S.H.I.E.L.D.," Collider wrote.

Captain America and Iron Man may fight against each other in the next installment of the "Captain America" film series. In the film, the Avengers will be facing the ultimate conflict with regard to the law designed to regulate superhuman activity. Some will agree with Iron Man while some will side with Captain America. This disagreement will cause an epic battle within the group and between the former allies.

"The main thing to me is, what sort of incident could occur, and what sort of framework could we find Tony in? What would it take for Tony to completely turn around everything he's stood for? Wouldn't it be interesting to see Tony doing something you wouldn't imagine?" Robert Downey Jr. said.
