If new rumors are true, it certainly looks like busy schedules are to blame for Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone's current situation.
The well-adored couple has reportedly taken a break from their relationship. Sources claimed that the two have not officially broken up, but they are taking their time apart to focus on their projects.
"He's [Andrew] thrown himself in the project to the detriment of all else," a source told People.
"Emma understands his work anxieties - it's why she originally pulled out of Cabaret last year and only did it this year - but they're taking a break from seeing each other. But it's too early to say the relationship is over."
'They're both a slave to their schedules. This time last year they were privately discussing marriage," the source added.
"It's one of those situations where only Andrew and Emma quite know if they'll pick up where they left off or they've separated."
Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone were previously reported to have taken their relationship to the next level. Engagement rumors have sparked after the "Amazing Spider-Man" lovebirds were spotted ring shopping in NYC last year.
With this sad news, fans are incredibly saddened but hopeful that the couple will decide to make things work.
"It's clear they've drifted apart. It's an unspoken issue, but everybody knows they are on hold," an insider previosuly told Star magazine.
"Yes, Andrew was filming but he could have gotten away if he really wanted to. The fact was, neither one of them wanted to plaster on a smile and pretend everything was OK when it wasn't."
"They are taking some time apart to figure things out. They need to know if what they once had is worth saving," the insider insisted.
