Could a good-hearted Prince Hans return in "Frozen 2?"

Plot and cast speculations for the highly anticipated Disney sequel have spread like wildfire online.  The House of Mouse has not confirmed or denied anything as of the moment, but one thing is for sure, "Frozen 2" is definitely happening.

According to latest rumors, the hated Prince Hans will be returning to Arendelle as a changed man.

"In fact, there have been hints that Hans may actually return to Arendelle to help Elsa and Anna fend off the attacks of the new villain in order to save and restore peace to the kingdom," Master Herald reported.

"But he has a redeeming value in his good looks, charm, and politeness, which Disney might take advantage of and put into play for 'Frozen 2.' Prince Hans would likely prove to Elsa, Anna, and Arendelle that he is a changed man once he steps up and do something to save the kingdom from a new threat."

Other "Frozen 2" plot rumor involves another Snow Queen, possibly an evil kind, that will be Queen Elsa and Anna's nemesis in the sequel.  Anna could get her own "powers" too.  Rumors are circulating that in the 2nd installment, Anna will discover that she has the capabilities to summon summer and spring.

As for the cast, word on the street is that Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell will be reprising their roles as Elsa and Anna.

"According to the VC Post, there are chances that Idina Menzel, and Kristen Bell will star in Frozen 2. Menzel, played the role of Elsa and Bell, who played the character of Anna, in the first edition of the movie, might still star in this one. Reportedly, their lawyers are negotiating out their pay," Breathe Cast reported.

Chief creative officer of Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios John Lasseter, meanwhile dished on the sequel's production.  Lasseter shared that they are very much looking forward to doing "Frozen 2," most especially after doing the short film "Frozen Fever."

"We enjoyed making 'Frozen Fever' so much and being back in that world with those characters. Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck have come up with a great idea for a sequel and you will be hearing a lot more about it and we're taking you back to Arendelle. We are so excited about that," he said.

It was "Frozen" director Jennifer Lee who first broke the news via her Twitter account.  Lee will be back with co-director Chris Buck to helm the sequel.
