Finally, "Prometheus 2" is moving along!
After years of waiting, finally the sequel "Prometheus 2" is coming! With a release date set on March 2016, production is moving along with script completed, and a few teasers including plot, setting and location revealed!
First is release date. In numerous reports online, "Prometheus 2" has stated a vague 2016 release date. The adventure sci-fi thriller has been in development for years now, and with the changes in screenplay writers, it seemed that fans won't be seeing the sequel for years. However, after writers have been finalized, a release date is on the table.
While numerous sources have revealed a vague 2016 release date, IMDB puts the premiere of "Prometheus 2" to a specific March 4 for US release. However, this remains to be confirmed by Fox.
Meanwhile, "Prometheus 2" has been reported to bring back the xenomorphs afters news that they won't make an appearance in the sequel. While the old monsters will return, they will be revamped and appear on a 'fresher form,' said director Ridley Scott.
In a report by Cinemablend, Scott said, "The alien's real which is why it's probably one of the scariest monsters in film history. So with 'Prometheus 2' what I'm trying to do is reintroduce a fresher form of alien in the third act."
The latest updates on the development of "Prometheus 2" reveals that the script has been completed, and the location of the sequel has been set. While initially it was rumored that the story will take place in the world of the famed yet treacherous Engineers, new reports reveal that David and Elizabeth Shaw will return on Earth.
In a report by Movie Pilot, Nimrod Antal shared, "Indeed the sequel is going to be better but it will NOT focus on the space engineers planet but on planet Earth."
He continued, "Characters from earth will be introduced as signals from the spaceship Noomi is on will prompt Wayland sponsored military to go after it before it reaches earth. Noomis character will die in the middle, but a woman hero (military) will take her place. We will not see the Engineers' planet until the third installment known as Paradise. The second is known under its working name as Prometheus: Hell on Earth."
