Rumor has it that CD Project RED might finally get a head start on developing “Cyberpunk 2077” once “The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt” finally hits game stores on May 19.

According to multiple online news reports, they had admitted that they had to postpone working on “Cyberpunk 2077” in order to be able to release “The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt” on time.

“The moment we announced ‘Cyberpunk,’ we certainly got busy with it,” said Adam Badowski, the managing director of CD Projekt Red, according to iDigitalTimes. “Later on, it turned out that we needed help in completing ‘The Witcher 3.’ We have put a large part of the team to work on finishing the game. Once it is released, we will be able to focus on ‘Cyberpunk.’”

Sadly, Badowski had also confirmed that “Cyberpunk 2077” will not be unveiled during E3. So far, very little information has been revealed regarding the game. It would appear that CD Projekt Red was able to keep mum about any key details regarding the game.

Fans of the game are thankful that a trailer has officially been released. However, it was pretty vague. This is understandable, though, especially after the company had also previously admitted that they have not even finished plotted the game story as of yet.

Game Spot has even reported that the geniuses at CD Projekt Red were even instructed not to talk about it. “The first rule of ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ is that we do not talk about ‘Cyberpunk 2077,’” said the company’s marketing and public relations head Michal Platkow-Gilewski. “On a more serious note, in short, communication-wise, we are now focusing entirely on ‘The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt.’”

“Not everyone is working crazy hard to give gamers around the world an RPG to remember,” he added. “Worry not, ‘Cyberpunk 2077’ is okay. Its time will come.”
