Right before the "Tom Clancy's The Division" Xbox One PS4 release, a public Alpha might be in order.

"Ubisoft may be preparing to unleash a public Alpha, according IGN. Their information came from a Reddit poster claiming to have found an Alpha section within The Division's website. A screenshot was posted, though its authenticity remains unclear," Gospel Herald reported.

"Even so, many gaming observers believe that an Alpha will be released prior to launch. The Division already represents a significant investment to Ubisoft, considering that the game's release date was pushed back by about a year."

Just recently, a German fansite dished on some details about the new title's gameplay. As translated and reported by Movie Pilot, the article featured interviews with studio manager, David Polfeldt and art director, Rodrigo Cortes.

The two execs shared some exciting new details about the Snowdrop Engine, and some intricate and realistic details the team had to focus on including making very real-looking snowflakes.

"Cortes beautifully describes the way in which snow falls in Tom Clancy's The Division. Snowflakes are not flat textures he ensures, and as the player progresses through the game, depending on the volume of snow falling, it will begin to accumulate on your shoulders, should you avoid rolling a lot," Movie Pilot reported.

"He says that should someone stand out in the snow for a long period of time, you'll start to resemble a snowman. However, once you go inside and are greeted by heat, it will begin to melt and eventually soak your clothes, which eventually start to dry once more. That's pretty amazing if this actually works on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC."

Meanwhile, release date rumors speculated that the launch could get pushed back to 2016.

"Gamers might get sad for our update about Tom Clancy's 'The Division'. A source says that the release might happen late this year. Don't get your hopes up. It would be better if we do not expect anything as some say it might be out by 2016. This game is far from being completed. If we still have to wait for more than a year, then they better make sure it will be a jaw-dropping game that will hook us for days!" Venture Capital Post noted.
