With "Avengers: Age of Ultron" not showing a key villain in the MCU, audiences are left to wonder what Loki has up his sleeve in "Thor 3: Ragnarok."

Despite the next movie having an apocalyptic treatment mainly at the hands of super baddie Surtur, fans should not leave Loki out of the picture.  As several fan theories have suggested, it looks like Thor's conniving bro is more sinister than audiences think.

"Loki in the MCU is that dude who you know who is pretty much a tyrannical asshole but for some reason you sort of rock with him. He's constantly scheming and calculating and just trying to make things harder for his enemies. Remember when he got caught on purpose a la The Joker in the The Avengers? Prime example of a classic Loki move," Movie Pilot noted.

"At the end of Thor 2, Loki is disguised as his father, sitting on the throne of Asgard, which is what he always wanted."

It would be exciting how the Ragnarok plot will unfold with the scheming Loki pretending to be Odin in "Thor 3: Ragnarok." Another thing to consider, is Odin still alive?

"In a strange way Thor, Avengers, and Thor: The Dark World is a Loki trilogy, which I think is cool. In charting the relationship of these two brothers, when we first meet them as little boys listening to a story their father [tells them] that they were both meant to be kings. Which ended up not being true for one of them, and seeing where that takes him in that troubled journey that Loki goes on," Marvel Studio President Kevin Feige told iO9.

And when asked about Odin: "I would not say that it's safe to say, no. I don't know what Loki did to him."

Meanwhile, apart from the total ruin of Asgard teased by several "Thor 3: Ragnarok" spoilers, fans have a lot to look forward to in the next God of Thunder flick. It looks like the Ragnarok is just the tip of the iceberg.

According to a new report, the next "Thor" flick will be crucial in MCU's phase 3.  If the report is accurate, there will be more about Thanos, the reportedly TWO infinity gloves, and the gems in the upcoming movie.

"'Thor: Ragnarok' is still looking like it will be the most important Phase 3 movie concerning the Infinity Stones and the next step in Thanos' plan. Though the wildcard of 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' could definitely make some forward movement to this storyline as well," Movie Pilot revealed.

"The good money is on the last two gems, the Time Stone and Soul Stone, being revealed in 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' and 'Doctor Strange,' if not 'Thor 3,'" the article added.

"Thor 3: Ragnarok" is slated for a Nov. 3 2017 release.
