With "Frozen 2's" release confirmed, fans are left to wonder what's next for Anna and Elsa.

While the team behind the Disney hit keep mum about the sequel, rumor has it that Elsa could have a love interest in the upcoming flick.  And no, it won't be Jack Frost.

"According to Latino Post, 'goofy, lovable and caring' Olaf could play as one of Elsa's potential love interest given his ability to communicate so well with the humans and exemplify the meaning of selflessness and true love. The outlet cited that Olaf previously stayed by Anna's side at the fireplace and told her, 'Some things are worth melting for.' This makes Olaf a good choice for Elsa, who was once described as a queen with a cold heart," Movie News Guide reported.

Meanwhile, reports also claimed that the highly anticipated sequel could draw inspiration from another famous book by L. Frank Baum, called "Ozma of Oz."  While details remain to be under wraps as of the moment, director Chris Buck has reportedly shared some vital information regarding the upcoming icy flick.

"Buck pointed out in a recent interview that the protagonists of the film, Anna and Elsa, might be battling an evil king in 'Frozen 2.' The sequel already has an ending but Buck shared that there are still so many things to figure out as they go along the way," VCPost reported.

"'Ozma of Oz' and 'Frozen 2' will have a lot of similarities because Anna of Arendelle and Dorothy of Kansas have a lot of characteristics in common. Both books have a theme of having the power within and just figuring out what to do with it for the best interest of everyone involved."

Buck will be helming "Frozen 2" together with "Frozen" co-director Jennifer Lee.

"Frozen 2" is reportedly slated for a 2018 release.
