By the power of three times three, "The Craft" remake shall it be!

The cult horror classic "The Craft" is officially in development for a remake, according to Sony. The high school witches' coming-of-age is returning to the big screen, this time lead by "Honeymoon" (2014) director Leigh Janiak. Cast member Neve Cambell remembers how it was during filming, and here are the details available so far.

The latest remake is coming and it is no other than the supernatural thriller released in 1996, titled "The Craft." In a report by E! Online, the remake details include the up-and-coming director, Leigh Janiak.

"Janiak, who found recent success within the horror film genre with her 2014 flick 'Honeymoon,' is set to direct the film's reboot. She will also co-write the new version of the cult classic with Phil Graziadei, whom she has worked together with before, penning the script to Janiak's 2014 breakthrough film."

The original "The Craft" movie was directed by Andrew Fleming and starred Robin Tunney as Sarah Bailey, with Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell and Rachel True. According to THR, "Doug Wick, who was [among] 'The Craft's' original producers, is back in the same capacity, this time producing with Lucy Fisher. Fisher was vice chairman of Columbia when the first movie was made."

Meanwhile, in an interview with The Daily Beast, "The Craft" cast member Neve Campbell who played witch Bonnie reminisced about the 90s film, and shared details about what was it like to be on-set the supernatural cult movie. She also revealed the bonds with the other cast members that stood the test of time.

"I remember us talking about it back the, she said. I think, when we were young and silly, we were like, 'It was magic! The ocean came up and took part of the set away!' But I think that was just us being silly."

The 41-year-old actress continued, "But I'm still really good friends with Rachel True and Robin Tunney. I've lost touch with Fairuza [Balk] a bit. They actually did a screening of it at the L.A. Cemetery, and there were 5,000 people there all sitting on blankets and some were in costumes. It really ended up with a cult following, which is fun. It was my first time seeing it since the premiere, and we all had a glass of wine in the trailer and were laughing. You can't take it too seriously! But it's a lot of fun."

The release date including cast and other plot details for "The Craft" remake haven't been revealed yet. Stay tuned for more news and updates here!
