The "Persona 5" release date has been revealed in the full year 2015 earnings report by Atlus' parent company Sega Sammy.

It was previously reported that Atlus' RPG may be released in the latter part of 2015. Sega Sammy's financial report has indicated that the game may be published any time between October and December this year for both Japan and North America.

Sega Sammy's fiscal year 2015 ended last March. The "Persona 5" release date was evident in the list that Sega had announced. The company currently has four confirmed Japanese game titles for its first and second quarters of their 2016 fiscal year, which is from Apr. to Sep. 2015.

"Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai Deluxe" will be released by May 28, 2015 while "Stella Glow" is slated for a June release, both games are published for Nintendo 3DS. "Alien Isolation" for PS4 and Xbox One and "Persona 4: Dancing All Night" for PS Vita will also be released in June.

Sega's forecast indicated that four retail games will be released in Japan during that period as well. Unless the "Persona 5" release date will be delayed again for next year, it will most likely be published within this year since it is included in the full year forecasts for the titles to be released.

"In the fiscal year ending March 31, 2016, the Group will launch new titles mainly for the Group's mainstay IP including 'Persona 5' which will be the latest title from the 'Persona' series boasting over 6 million total copies sold along with implementing transitions of IP for packaged games such as 'Total War' series into digital games mainly in overseas," Sega Sammy's report stated.

Atlus' "Persona" franchise has sold over 6 million copies worldwide. The company has reported an operating income of 17.609 billion yen (about US$146.85 million) and a net loss of 11.258 billion yen (US$93.89 million). The forthcoming "Persona 5" will be published for PS4 and PS3.
