The sequel "Magic Mike XXL" is almost here and the trailer is ooh-la-la! Channing Tatum talks bringing a musical version to Broadway months before the release date.

The comedy-drama sequel to the 2012 "Magic Mike" film has already been gaining buzz months before its release date in July. Promotion isn't on full throttle yet, but lead cast member and producer Channing Tatum shared details about the show's musical version finding its way on Broadway. Yes, it could be another full monty, so to speak.

In an interview with EW, Channing Tatum revealed where the idea for the musical began. The 35-year-old actor said that cast member Matt Bomer inspired the whole idea. "Matt Bomer started singing some of the songs while he was onstage, and he was like, 'This would kill as a musical. That cemented it for me," shared Tatum.

Writer Reid Carolin explained in the same interview, "The musical will be about walking into the club and surrendering yourself to that world for a night. We want it to be a place where women can scream at the dancers and throw money."

"We want to do something interactive...so it becomes like 'Tony n' Tina's Wedding,'" added director Steven Soderbergh.

The musical is said to be more than bump-nd-grind on Broadway but it will bring more depth of story in terms of the characters of "Magic Mike XXL." When asked if Channing Tatum will return for the musical Broadway version, he replied "I'd love the challenge. I'm a huge fan of stage. But if it's a musical, I'd need a lot of singing classes. I think there's probably people who are better at it than I am."

The titular role of "Magic Mike XXL" will be portrayed by Tatum, and other cast members include Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez, Adam Rodriguez, Gabriel Iglesias, Amber Heard, Andie MacDowell, Elizabeth Banks and Jada Pinkett Smith.

"Magic Mike XXL" release date is set on July 1, watch the trailer here!
