"Heroes of the Storm" beta has been opened for everyone last May 19.

"Get ready to unleash the Burning Hells with Diablo, kick up a revolution with Raynor, and seek vengeance with Sylvanas, because 'Heroes of the Storm' Open Beta testing has officially begun," the game's website stated.

"If you didn't get the chance to leap into the fray during our Technical Alpha or Closed Beta phases, right now is a great opportunity for you and your pals to dive headlong into our raucous online team brawler before the game launches on Jun. 2."

Players can now download "Heroes of the Storm" beta without the need for keys, codes or opt-ins and start their conquest on the Nexus for free. Blizzard did warn players that they may encounter a queue when a lot of other players go through the Nexus Portal at once.

"Kindly keep in mind that Open Beta is still not final release, and we will be closely monitoring the game to ensure a positive play experience for everyone," Blizzard added.

While the game has been played by many since early last year, its official release is only on Jun. 2. It was previously reported that "Heroes of the Storm" will have more than 30 playable characters from Blizzard's various titles such as "StarCraft," "WarCraft" and "Diablo."

Tychus J. Findlay's signature look has been modified by Blizzard in "HotS." The legendary "StarCraft" character has lost his staple cigar in Blizzard's brawler. A developer explained the change in a Reddit thread.

"Heroes of the Storm is a multi-region game with a teen rating," BlizzDev_PIGonzales wrote. "There are a magnitude of guidelines we have to be aware of. From a development standpoint we prioritize making Heroes and Skins as utilitarian as possible, if a single model can be used in all regions, that's a huge win for development."

He explained that they had two options: one was to create two versions of the character - one smoking and one without the cigar; second, they could remove the cigar altogether. The second option did not need more development work for Blizzard and proceeded to remove Tychus' cigar.
