“Fifty Shades Darker” rumors have continued to make their rounds on the Internet, but this latest string of cast speculations have caught the attention of a lot of the raunchy trilogy’s die-hard fans.
According to Venture Capital Post, British supermodel, Cara Delevingne was recently selected to join the sequel’s cast as Leila Williams.
Those who have already read the romantic novels written by EL James know that Leila used to be a submissive of Christian Grey, who will be portrayed by Irish actor Jamie Dornan.
At the end of “Fifty Shades of Grey,” there was a little teaser about Leila as she stalked Anastasia Steele, played by Dakota Johnson, right inside her house. Sadly, upon seeing the scene, there was no way to identify whether the actress was the “Suicide Squad” actress or not.
Rita Ora, who plays the role of Mia Grey, Christian’s younger sister, has been the only one who has not been so tight-lipped about the sequel. She recently spoke with Capital XTRA and she was not hesitant at all in revealing that “plans are moving forward with that whole sequel.” That said, it would appear that it was also a relatively discreet way of confirming that the “Poison” singer was going to return to reprise her role as Mia.
Furthermore, the rumor mill is also abuzz with reports that Charlize Theron will be appearing in “Fifty Shades Darker” as Elena Lincoln, who is more famously known in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” franchise as Mrs. Robinson. Elena used to be Christian’s dominant and is one of the primary antagonists of the second installment.
“Fifty Shades Darker” will reportedly unveil more about Christian’s dark character, especially in relation to Elena who was the one who introduced BDSM to Christian even when he was still a young teenager.
