The "Persona 5" release date is slated for this year.

According to Gamespresso, new information suggests that the release of "Persona 5" will be between October and December this year. Sega Sammy's 2015 earnings report hinted on the game's release window.

It was previously reported that Atlus' RPG may be published in the last quarter of this year for both Japan and North America. The "Persona 5" release date was evident in Sega's list. The company currently has four confirmed Japanese game titles for its first and second quarters of their 2016 fiscal year, which is from Apr. to Sep. 2015.

Sega's forecast indicated that four retail games will be released in Japan during that period as well. Unless the "Persona 5" release date will be delayed again for next year, it will most likely be published within this year since it is included in the full year forecasts for the titles to be released.

"Persona 5" will be the newest installment in the franchise. It revolves around a group of high school students who can summon their "Personas" to combat monsters. It will feature the return of Shigenori Soejima as character designer and Shoji Meguro as music composer. It will be published for both PS3 and PS4.

Movie Pilot reported that Atlus may release "Catherine 2" after the "Persona 5" release date. With E3 2015 coming up soon, the developers may announce the sequel to 2011's "Catherine." Deeming it as one of the biggest franchises for Atlus, the website commented that the studio might want to shock the world with the news of "Catherine 2."

It was revealed that the characters may find themselves in serious trouble in the upcoming RPG. A certain incident will be the turning point for the main characters. The two other "Persona 5" characters are Anne and Ryuji. According to Hashino, the three of them will have their own problems, which may have involved losing their homes.
