The "Dark Souls 3" release date may happen next year.

Rooster Teeth's show, The Know, has claimed to have screenshots and details of the upcoming game including the "Dark Souls 3" release date. The next installment of From Software's action RPG series will reportedly be released in 2016.

According to the "Dark Souls 3" leak, the game will support one to four players but it does not reveal whether it is co-op or PvP. Players will build their characters at the start of the game by choosing one of 10 different character classes. It is said to have 45 new enemies and 15 new bosses, excluding the number of characters and monsters that appeared in the previous "Souls" games.

There will reportedly be 100 new weapons and 40 new armor sets to deck characters with. Plus, there are 60 minutes of mostly in-engine cutscenes, far higher than in previous From Software games. It will house about 12 different areas, having similar amount of content to the original "Dark Souls."

Furthermore, instead of soapstones and signs, "Dark Souls 3" will make players participate in sacrifice ceremonies. This will entail dragging around bodies to specific areas, performing a ritual and visiting another person's game. Boss battles will also have a new "heat up" factor which will change the way players approach an encounter.

VG247 reported that Bandai Namco will announce "Dark Souls 3" at E3 2015 next week. The game will purportedly be published for Xbox One and PS4, with a PC version under negotiations. "Bloodborne" director Hidetaka Miyazaki is heading the team.

Miyazaki only supervised the development for "Dark Souls 2." Tomohiro Shibuya and Yui Tanimura co-directed the sequel. Its DLC, "Scholar of the First Sin," was released last April for Xbox One, PS4 and Steam. The second title of the "Dark Souls" series has sold over 2.5 million copies since its release last year.
