Everybody keeps coming back to the "Fast and the Furious" franchise---Eva Mendes is testament to that.

The newest returning cast member to the upcoming "Fast 8 Furious 8" is speculated to cause trouble in paradise, specifically between Mr. and Mrs. Alpha--- Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto  and Michelle Rodriguez' Letty Ortiz.

With only a few months after the box office hit "Furious 7," fans are already eager to hear more of the next installment to the "Fast and the Furious" franchise. Latest news revealed details of the newest returning cast member who fans meet in "2 Fast 2 Furious" sequel in 2003.

Eva Mendes appeared as undercover customs agent Monica Fuentes who cooperates with Paul Walker's Brian O'Conner and Tyrese Gibson's Roman Pearce to take down drug lord Carter Verone portrayed by Cole Hauser. Mendes not only appears in this installment, but also during the post-credits of "Fast Five" in 2011 where she confirms that Letty Ortiz is alive in a meeting with Dwayne Johnson's agent Luke Hobbs.

Her return has also spurred rumors that character Monica Fuentes will drive a wedge between newlyweds Letty Ortiz and Dominic Toretto. This remains unconfirmed as does earlier news that Jason Statham's return will be a friendly comeback to Vin Diesel's crew.

According to Yibada, apart from returning cast member Eva Mendes, Ronda Rousey will also appear come "Fast & Furious 8" release date in 2017. Another martial artist known as  Joanna Jedrzejczyk is reported to join the cast of "Fast & Furious 8" of whom Rousey considers her fitting on-screen opponent.

Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson has already shared his thoughts about returning to "Fast & Furious 8" and said  "Of course. It can't go on without Hobbs," reported ProjectCasting.

We all are interested in it," Johnson explained, talking about the other cast members returning to "Fast & Furious 8."  "I just had a big conversation with the studio. So we'll see. I still think for me personally we've created a little bit of space for him in 7 and the gauge is set for what  the audience will want. That's my take on it, you know, but a lot of other people have to have input."

"Fast & Furious 8" release date is set on Apr. 17, 2017.
