Despite the sequel having a rumored 2018 release date, "Frozen 2" news and updates continue to keep fans afloat with exciting developments regarding the highly anticipated follow-up flick.

Rumor has it that the conniving Prince Hans will make a huge comeback in the next movie.  However, unlike his character in the first flick, Prince Hans will reportedly be a reformed man and could possibly end up as a viable love interest for Elsa.

"There have also been previous reports that a reformed Prince Hans would also be back for 'Frozen 2' to redeem himself for his villainous role in the first animated film and will eventually become Queen Elsa's love interest," Master Herald noted.

However, "Frozen 2" news and updates also hint that Olaf could take on a bigger role in the sequel- as Elsa's one true love.

"Many fans of 'Frozen' are pushing Olaf to become the love interest of Queen Elsa since the snow character embodies true love and selflessness in the first film," the article continued.

"But of course, Olaf's character should be refreshed and modified, and that there should be a twist in his character if he is to become Queen Elsa's love interest for the sequel."

Sadly, a Jack Frost-Elsa or JElsa team-up could never come true.

Previous reports claimed that another Disney princess named "Moana" will take the centerstage right before Anna and Elsa, and the rest of the Arendelle crew return for another icy adventure.

"Why isn't Frozen coming before 2018? Well, Moana's movie comes first," Movie Pilot reported.

"Moana will be the next Disney princess after Anna and Elsa. And even though Moana is coming 2016, there are multiple other Disney movies expected around the same time."
