‘The Night Manager’ Welcomes Author Into Pilot! John Le Carre Joins A-List Cast Tom Hiddleston And Hugh Laurie!

The British espionage novelist, John Le Carre will join Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie in the upcoming TV series "The Night Manager" as a cast member! Oh what a treat, indeed!

Latest news made it known to the public that John Le Carre will cameo in the television adaptation of his novel, "The Night Manager" that stars British A-list actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Hugh Laurie. A recent report from EW confirmed that "the author will appear in a restaurant scene which was filmed earlier this month."

This is not the first time that the novelist made a cameo in the adaptation of his works. John Le Carre joined the cast of "Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy" for a brief moment during the Christmas party scene wherein he was seen standing up as the people began to sing.

When his novel "The Little Drummer Girl" was also made into a movie back in 1984, he was also part of the cast. He portrayed the role of a commander named David Cornwell. Aside from "The Night Manager," "Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy" and "The Little Drummer Girl," the 83-year-old author also wrote "The Spy Who Came in from the Cold," "Smiley's People," "A Most Wanted Man" and more!

The upcoming TV series, "The Night Manager" contains a star-studded cast! Tom Hiddleston who is famous for his role as Loki in "The Avengers" is set to play Jonathan Pine while Richard Roper will be portrayed by Hugh Laurie.

Laurie and Hiddleston will be accompanied by other notable cast members that include the "Locke" actress, Olivia Colman who will portray Burr. Elizabeth Debicki will be playing Jed in "The Night Manager." Other casts include David Harewood ("Blood Diamond"), Neil Morrissey ("Boon"), Katherine Kelly ("Mr. Selfridge") and Tobias Menzies ("Casino Royale").

The same article reported that "'The Night Manager' follows a former British soldier named Jonathan Pine (Hiddleston) who becomes a spy in order to infiltrate the network of a black market arms circle fronted by Richard Onslow Roper (Laurie)."
