The movie adaptation of Ransom Riggs' "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" is on full production, with director Tim Burton at the helm. The star-studded cast members are currently filming led by "Penny Dreadful" star, Eva Green.

While it is no news that "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" has begun filming to meet the movie's 2016 release date, the location of the production is of historical value, for those fans of the legendary director Tim Burton. After decades, Tim Burton returned to complete his film in the Tampa Bay Area, where his masterpiece, "Edward Scissorhands" with Johnny Depp was shot way back in 1989.

The filming in Tampa Bay area occurred for roughly a month  beginning in February with Tim Burton and the cast members. TampaBayTimes reported, "Inside a modest one-story waterfront house, Burton directed a birthday party scene for his latest movie 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children,' based on a young adult novel by Ransom Riggs."

"Burton's set was closed to the media but tell-tale signs of movie production were obvious," the report continued. "In neighboring driveways, tons of filmmaking equipment awaited use. More than two dozen crew members milled on lawns, or peered inside a garage at video monitors displaying the action inside."

Meanwhile, book author Ransom Riggs shared details about his involvement in the movie, and how the adventures of Jacob will be different in the film compared to the novel. In an interview with SheKnows, the author simply shared, "They're headed in a good direction."

"They're involving me more than I think most writers get involved," Riggs revealed about the movie. "Which is not to say a whole bunch, but they've asked what I think of the script and I have a voice, which is nice. Sometimes they keep the authors at arm's length because we have lots of opinions and they're not always helpful."

The stellar cast members of "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" is composed of "Penny Dreadful" star Eva Green as Miss Peregrine, Asa Butterfield as Jacob Portman, Samuel L. Jackson as Barron/the Wight, with Dame Judy Dench and Rupert Everett.
