The "Doctor Who" actor, Peter Capaldi, shared some news regarding the highly awaited season 9 months before the premiere.
Peter Capaldi revealed to EW news regarding what's to come in the upcoming season of "Doctor Who." Apparently, season 9 "places the Doctor in a conflict that is central to his being," said Capaldi, "as well as containing some subtle tributes to the '60s."
According to the news about season 9, the Doctor will be "throwing himself into life with a newfound hunger for adventure." He added "he's in pursuit of joy and grabbing every thrill that he can along the way. But I sense him running from something, that even he does not yet understand."
The same site revealed an exclusive photo wherein the Doctor does look like he is running away from something and it is evident in his facial expression that he is confused. Capaldi revealed that "the photo shows the Doctor about to make a mistake that has cataclysmic repercussions." "Doctor Who" fans will just have to wait for season 9 premiere to find out more about what the Doctor faces in the newest chapter of his adventure.
Meanwhile, other news for "Doctor Who" season 9 revealed that Clara and the Doctor will "realize that they are the most fortunate people in all of time and space and are hellbent on adventure." Capaldi continued to explain that "Jenna continues to deliver a beautifully nuanced, complex, and funny performance that marks her out as one of the best companions ever."
For some, it's no news that Maisie Williams will be a guest star come "Doctor Who" season 9 premiere this fall. And on the interview, Capaldi shared his opinion about the young actress joining the stellar cast of the series. "Maisie is fanstastic. A sharp, talented tornado," he shared. "As an 18-year-old, she has taught me many new words and expressions. All I'll say about her character is she shifts in cosmic ways."
