New "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" characters Sakura and Sai have been confirmed to make an appearance in the film.
Design&Trend reported that new "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" characters were revealed in the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Jump. Sakura and Sai will be making an appearance in the film as well as Rock Lee and Hinata.
From the younger generation, Inojin Yamanaka, Sai and Ino's child, and Boruto's younger sister Himawari will also be featured in the movie. Other "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" characters are Konohamaru, Shikamaru, Kurotsuchi Tsuchikage, Chōjūrō Mizukage, Darui Raikage and Gaara Kazekage.
"Boruto: Naruto the Movie" will debut at the New York Comic-Con, which is from Oct. 8 to 11. ComicBook.com reported that the announcement was made at the Anime Expo in Los Angeles. "Naruto" series creator, Masashi Kishimoto, is one of the convention's featured guests. He will be at the convention on Oct. 8 and Oct. 10 for panel discussions.
"Boruto: Naruto the Movie" will be shown in Japanese theaters on Aug. 7 but fans can buy tickets as early as Jun. 27. Series creator Masashi Kishimoto will be involved in the film's production. "Boruto" will be the first movie of the popular franchise which is handled only by Kishimoto. He is credited as the director, script writer and character designer.
The voice cast for the film is comprised of Yuko Sanpei, who will be portraying Boruto Uzumaki and Kokoro Kikuchi, who will play Sarada Uchiha. Junko Takeuchi and Noriaki Sugiyama will be reprising their roles as Naruto and Sasuke, respectively. Ryūichi Kijima plays Mitsuki, the mysterious character in "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" who is rumored to be the next Orochimaru.
Atsushi Abe will play Inojin Yamanaka, Sai and Ino's son. Saori Hayami will play Himawari Uzumaki, the daughter of Naruto and Hinata. Hiroki Yasumoto will portray Kinshiki, the faithful subordinate of the mysterious Momoshiki, who will be played by Daisuke Namikawa. Kensho Ono will voice Shikadai Nara, Shikamaru Nara and Temari's son.
