Comic-Con unleashes another teasing first-look at Guillermo Del Toro's latest masterpiece starring Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain and Charlie Hunnam. The latest "Crimson Peak" character poster reveals Hunnam's mysteriously dashing Dr. Alan McMichael.

A report by Cominsoon.net revealed the latest character poster for the highly anticipated horror/gothic romance film by legendary director Guillermo del Toro. The poster as revealed in the site, shows actor Charlie Hunnam in character as Dr. Alan McMichael in blue, with wing-like graphics in crimson red.

Come "Crimson Peak" release date, Charlie Hunnam's character Dr. Alan McMichael will be revealed as quite a timid guy, who falls madly in love with the heroine, portrayed by Mia Wasikowska. The heroine in "Crimson Peak" will be Edith Cushing, who consequently will become the wife to Tom Hiddleston's Sir Thomas Sharpe.

In an earlier interview with Collider, Charlie Hunnam described his "Crimson Peak" character and said, "He's a totally different character than I've ever played.  He's a very kind of quiet, shy, thoughtful kind of stoic, taciturn, very learned guy who is madly in love with the female hero."

Meanwhile, months before its release date in October, "Crimson Peak" is expected to appear in the upcoming Comic-Con . To clarify how "Crimson Peak" should be expected, legendary director Guillermo del Toro clarified the Tom Hiddleston-led film isn't simply a haunted house movie. "It's not that at all," Del Toro shared with EW. "The house is a rotting representation of the family that has inhabited it - it's like a cage, a killing jar that you use to kill butterflies. The house basically is a sinister, sinister trap."

"I tried on 'Crimson Peak' to say that the horror starts after the marriage," del Toro added. "This girl wakes up in a strange place, not her own home, not her own bed, and she little by little realizes that she knows less about the man she married than one would expect. The curious thing is the love story really starts when they acknowledge that darkness."

Apart from Charlie Hunnam, other "Crimson Peak" character posters of Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska and Jessica Chastain have also been released recently and have been posted by EmpireOnline.

"Crimson Peak" release date is set on Oct. 16.
