Months after the release date, "The Order 1886" fares relatively average among gamers. Ready at Dawn reveals that there are more improvements to be made, and a sequel isn't far behind.

Latest news reveal that while "The Order 1886" did debut at No. 1 in the UK when it was released last February, sales didn't quite soar in the succeeding months. There's even a report by AttackOfTheFanBoy revealing that Sony may have dropped the price of the game because of low sales. However, this does not stop developer Ready at Dawn to pursue a sequel for the period game.

Former Blizzard Paul Sams revealed details about a possible "The Order 1886" sequel. According to BloodyDisgusting, "The first game was more than anything a launch platform to build upon. And as I mentioned in the past, 'The Order 1886' was never written as a one-off story. There is a lot more to tell as you can see from the way the game ends."

"We would love to be part of building 'The Order 1886' as a franchise. It is an IP that we created, that we deeply love and that we believe in," Sams added.

GamingBolt also revealed from trusted source that a sequel for "The Order 1886" is well in the plans of Ready at Dawn. "What has me most excited is that the main focus in a possible sequel are the gameplay systems. That's what was stated to me," shared in the report.

"The engine is in place and they're free to put all their efforts into gameplay design. And they want to do this, it isn't a result of any backlash over 'The Order 1886' design, they as a team want that. By no means do they think the game's perfect as it is," it added.

It has only been months since "The Order 1886" has been released and talks on a sequel has already begun---not really a sign of little following for the game. More details of the next installment will be revealed in the coming months, stay tuned!
