"Dark Souls 3" gameplay is influenced by "Bloodborne."
"There are traces of 'Bloodborne' in the combat, too," Edge Magazine stated. "While the new hero is no Hunter, he certainly seems more agile than before."
"The backstep in particular has been sped up, and a longsword is swung more quickly too, with no apparent damage penalty (though enemy health bars - along with the entire HUD - have been disabled here, just as they were at last year's 'Bloodborne' unveiling)."
Improved agility in the "Dark Souls 3" gameplay is also featured in the weapon set as well. New weapons in the game now allow for much speedier attack combos than its predecessors. A scimitar can be used for various strikes such as spin attacks.
"Dark Souls 3" gameplay also features a new attack stance called Ready Stance. Players will now be able to utilize different attacks for each weapon. Ready Stance allows FromSoftware to open up the game's combat systems.
Fans who pre-order "Dark Souls 3" from GameStop will receive a bonus collectible. It is an 18" by 40" poster which was previously exclusive to San Diego Comic-Con attendees. It features images from the game's debut trailer as well as other marketing materials used for "Dark Souls 3."
The "Dark Souls 3" pre-order bonus is available for orders placed before Jul. 30 or before supplies run out. The next installment of From Software's action RPG series will reportedly be released in 2016.
"Dark Souls 3" will reportedly support one to four players but it does not reveal whether it is co-op or PvP. Players will build their characters at the start of the game by choosing one of 10 different character classes.
It is said to have 45 new enemies and 15 new bosses, excluding the number of characters and monsters that appeared in the previous "Souls" games. There will reportedly be 100 new weapons and 40 new armor sets to deck characters with.
