"Gears of War 4" beta access will launch in spring 2016.
Gamepur reported that The Coalition Studios has announced that the "Gears of War 4" release date is slated for next year. Furthermore, Xbox One owners who will buy "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition," which is scheduled to launch next month, will receive exclusive access to "Gears of War 4" beta.
Players will need to play "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" by Mar. 1, 2016 to get their exclusive beta access to "Gears of War 4." An Xbox One bundle with the "Ultimate Edition" is available for pre-order at Amazon. It is priced at $349.
The "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" has been completed. The Coalition has released the game's opening cutscene, featuring a chainsaw execution. The "Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" is also available for pre-download ahead of its release on Aug. 25 for Xbox One.
The game's "Standard Edition" will cost $40. It will include a copy of the game, multiplayer skins of Adam Fenix and Civilian Anya as well as an Animated Imulsion Weapon Skin.
The "Deluxe Edition" is available for $60. It will include a Deluxe Weapon Skin Pack and two additional multiplayer characters: Civilian Marcus Fenix and Aaron Griffin along with the contents of the "Standard Edition."
"The Windows 10 version of 'Gears of War: Ultimate Edition' will release at a later time, following the release of the Xbox One version on Aug. 25," Microsoft told IGN.
"The team decided to prioritize polish and performance over street date - to make sure we deliver a great experience for PC gamers. The DX12 version will support 4K resolution, unlimited refresh rates and controller and mouse and keyboard controls, so there was a bit more for us to test, optimize and perfect."
"Gears of War: Ultimate Edition" will have new content like five brand-new campaign chapters. It will have a 1080p resolution and will run on 60 fps. There will be 19 maps, including all DLC and PC-exclusive maps. There will also be 17 unlockable "Gears of War 3" characters for Multiplayer progression.
