“Dancing with the Stars” season 21 cast has just been associated with a new set of celebrities. Some of the starts who are rumored to be part of the show’s 21st season seem highly unlikely, but it would appear that “DWTS” show runners are keeping their fingers crossed anyway.
“‘Dancing with the Stars’ would love Donald Trump to be on the show,” a source told Hollywood Life. “The producers know what a lightning rod that would be. So, when his run for the President is finished, they would love for him to join a future season of the show.”
ABC, on the other hand, would rather keep mum about Trump’s involvement on “Dancing with the Stars” season 21. “We do not comment on casting rumors,” the network stated. Trump, himself, has neither confirmed nor denied these reports, but he did tell Extra five years ago that he “can dance a lot better than most” of the stars who have graced the “DWTS” dance floor.
“I am not a bad dancer,” Trump said at the time. “Many people want me to do ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ I watch some of them and they are terrible!” According to what he said at the time, it seemed that he would have joined the famous dance contest if he had not been busy with his own reality TV show, “The Apprentice.”
Caitlyn Jenner and NBA athlete Anthony Davis have both already reportedly refused to be part of the show. Jenner had reportedly told Entertainment Tonight, “No, thank you.” Davis, on the other hand, reportedly turned down the offer claiming that he did not want to “embarrass” himself, according to Yahoo! Sports.
“The Bachelor” star Kaitlyn Bristowe might also join. As long as she will still have enough quality time with her fiancé Shawn Booth, she said during her "Live with Kelly and Michael" appearance that she will be “very excited” to be part of the “Dancing with the Stars” season 21 cast, according to Wet Paint.
Shay Mitchell of “Pretty Little Liars” has also recently expressed her “DWTS” interest during a question and answer session with her fans. She admitted that she wanted to be paired with Valentin Chmerkovskiy.
