With so many superhero series airing now, what sets apart DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" from the others? Showrunner talks spoilers and plot details!

According to the "Legends of Tomorrow" showrunner Phil Klemmer, the show "is not traditional episodic television," but instead "it's an anthology show. This is not designed to go forever." Klemmer also shared to ScreenRant that "this season is meant to be standalone" and that the plot of "each season is its own separate movie." This means that while season 1 spoilers will be related of course to season 2, the plot will not entirely revolve around the focal point of season 1.

"At a certain point, we will have darkness emerge and characters will betray one another and be tempted by the dark side." He further revealed that in "Legends of Tomorrow," "others might not make it along for the full trip. And others might be lost in weird time periods."

The showrunner also shared a few "Legends of Tomorrow" spoilers to EW and revealed that it is "going to be total madness." He revealed that the characters are "screwups."

"Instead of tiptoeing through history, they're plodding through it, leaving their footprints and fingerprints and constantly having to wonder whether they're going to screw the future up rather than fix it," he added.

Aside from the fact that the TV show plot features some time-travelling adventures, IBTimes revealed that DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" has "exciting superheroes and villains lined up to appear in the spinoff series."

DC character Firestorm, who is rumored to be portrayed by Robbie Amell, will be featured in the first season of "Legends of Tomorrow." The pilot plot will bring together the motley crew and reveal a relative amount of spoilers for the coming episodes.

Arthur Darvill confirmed that he will be playing the role of Rip Hunter in the upcoming season. Along with Rip Hunter and Firestorm, Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Ray Palmer also known as The Atom (Brandon Routh) will be all be featured in the upcoming TV show.

The highly anticipated DC TV show, "Legends of Tomorrow" will be released in 2016 on The CW.
