It was revealed during E3 2015 by Square Enix that "Final Fantasy 7" remake will be happening. The question lingering on every fan's mind is when is the release date of the game?

No doubt with the confirmation that the game will be happening, a lot of fans can't wait to get a hold of the "Final Fantasy 7" remake and play them on their PlayStation 4. But when will the game be released is a major question waiting to be answered.

According to an article from Yibada, "A PlayStation ad had recently slated the remake launch for 2016." However, it was later on revealed that "Square Enix has not released anything official for the 'Final Fantasy 7' remake release date."

And though the release date of "Final Fantasy 7" remake was not yet confirmed, the director of the game, Tetsuya Nomura, has already shared updates on the game. The same site mentioned that Nomura revealed to the Official PlayStation Magazine that they are "not going to be changing it ['Final Fantasy 7' remake] into a shooter or something like that."

Nomura further added that "we are going to be bringing dramatic changes, but we want to make sure it's still recognizable."

PlayStationLifestyle revealed that "the development on the title commenced before December 2014." Nomura updated that "the discussion of doing the remake has been a long one. Even internally it came up and it went away, and it was kind of an up-and-down ongoing discussion that was going on."

"Now that we've finally announced it, I'm just looking forward to getting through with it. The gravity of this game...it's just such a large title. Not only the expectations, but the production of it too," updated the "Final Fantasy 7" remake director. "[I'm looking forward to] finishing it as quickly as I can, getting the final product out and delivering it to the fans," Nomura said.
