"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" cast news indicates that the upcoming pirate-centered blockbuster will feature the return of one of the franchise's most significant characters.

It looks like the House of Mouse is not holding anything back with regards to its next big screen project.

Christian Post has reported that Orlando Bloom, who plays the role of Will Turner, will be back to the "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" cast to reprise his role. Bloom's character was one of the most important characters, right alongside Captain Jack Sparrow, who is portrayed by Johnny Depp, and Elizabeth Swan, played by Keira Knightley.

This information was confirmed during the recently held D23 Expo, which was held in Anaheim, California.

The last time that Bloom was involved in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise was in "At the World's End." Being the new Captain of the Flying Dutchman, he was forced to sail for eternity. That said, since Will and Elizabeth were in love, it was a very bittersweet plot twist for them, since they can only see each other every 10 years.

Now that it has been confirmed that Bloom will be back to reprise his role, it remains unclear whether or not Knightley will be back as well. Fans of the franchise are hopeful that what she had previously told the press do not end up being true, since she was quoted saying that she was done with the franchise.

At the D23 event, Depp even made a special appearance in the spirit of "Pirates of the Caribbean 5." He was pretending to be drunk - a characteristic that Sparrow seems to embody down to a pat - as he asked Sean Bailey, the President of Production of Walt Disney, "Where are we?"

The executive only responded, "Disneyland!" To which, Depp - as Sparrow - only answered back, "Never heard of it," and started to throw grapes at the crowd.
