There might be more information about Rick Castle's disapperance when "Castle" season 8 premieres, spoilers hinted.
According to the pilot episode's synopsis, Castle will be handling a case that will help him remember crucial details.
"The two-hour long season 8 premiere will revolve around Rick investigating his father's disappearance," Fashion & Style reported. "The synopsis says that while Rick searches for answers, he will begin remembering things from his own disappearance as well."
Fans are definitely excited for the new season which boasts of new storylines, and a few "shake-ups" caused by Beckett's promotion to Captain.
"At the end of the day, we came into this season wanting to shake things up," new co-showrunner Alexi Hawley told TVLine. "The show has been doing a great job with what's its been doing, but now we've been given an opportunity to really sort of add some energy into it."
"What we realized is that the best way to tell Castle's stories is to have Castle investigating twisty, fun cases. And the best way to do that is to keep Beckett in the precinct," Castle's other showrunner Terence Paul Winter meanwhile added.
"That said, promoting Beckett to captain could mean dialing down her time spent working cases firsthand, alongside Rick on the streets of New York City," TVLine added. "And that could threaten to 'shake things up' for a couple whose bond was born of the writer/muse relationship."
While there will be a few changes, "Castle" season 8 spoilers revealed that Castle's relationship to his mother will remain the same in the upcoming run. Reports can confirm that Martha will still be an important character.
"She's very much a part of Castle's life," Winter told TVLine. "Don't think that just because she now has her own place and is doing well on Broadway that we're not going to see her sharing her wisdom with her favorite and only son."
