"Rock Band 4" Xbox One is more expensive than the game's PS4 version.

Harmonix has announced that the game's Xbox One version will be sold for $80, about £70. Its PlayStation 4 version will cost $60 or about £50.

VG247 reported that the reason why "Rock Band 4" Xbox One is more expensive than the PS4 version is because it allows players to keep their existing kits. The Xbox One version comes with an adapter that will support legacy game controllers.

This means that existing Xbox 360 guitars and drum sets will be compatible with "Rock Band 4" Xbox One during its launch. All standalone Xbox One version of the game will come with an adapter. PS4 does not need an adapter for previous-gen instruments.

The Fender Stratocaster guitar and drums for "Rock Band 3" has been confirmed to be compatible with "Rock Band 4." The Hofner bass, Rickenbacker 325 guitar, Gretsch Duo-Jet guitar and Ludwig drums from "The Beatles: Rock Band" are also compatible with the upcoming game.

Instruments from "Rock Band 2," "Guitar Hero 5," "Guitar Hero: World Tour," "Guitar Hero 3," and Mad Catz can also be used with the upcoming music video game.

It was previously reported that "Rock Band 4" will support older versions of instruments. Last-gen peripherals for "Guitar Hero" should work as well. However, since Harmonix did not develop the tools, they cannot officially guarantee the compatibility.

10 new "Rock Band 4" songs have been added to the game's list. .38 Special's "Caught Up in You," "Arabella" from the Arctic Monkeys, "Milwaukee" from The Both,"Short Skirt/Long Jacket" by Cake are among the new songs for the music video game.

Other tracks from artists Little Big Town, Lucius, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, The Protomen, Soundgarden, Tijuana Sweetheart have also been added to the "Rock Band 4" songlist.

"Rock Band 4" is slated for release on Oct. 6, 2015 for Xbox One and PS4.
