According to LatinPost, spoilers for "Crimson Peak" revealed that the main villain of the gothic romance story could be the matriarch ghost of the Sharpe family.
The report pointed out that a certain Mother Ghost will be among the Pop! Vinyls released for the film. Speculations began that while this simply could just be another iconic entity in Del Toro's upcoming film, it could also be the actual mother of Thomas and Lucille. This means that amid the underlying almost-incestuous relationship between the brother and sister, an even darker past lurks behind the ancient mansion.
Meanwhile, "Crimson Peak" spoilers have already been revealed by the star of the upcoming horror movie as Tom Hiddleston shared more details about his mysterious character.
In a report by LatinoPost, Tom Hiddleston shared a few spoilers and said, ""The thing about gothic romance is, there's always a sexuality at play. And incest has been something that's been hinted at by other novels in the genre. But I'm not going to lay it on with anything too hard for you guys."
The official press release of the Guillermo del Toro movie via DreadCentral revealed the synopsis as, "'Criimson Peak', the latest cinematic adventure from Legendary Pictures and director Guillermo del Toro, is sure to cause a scare. Starring Tom Hiddleston and Mia Wasikowska, the film follows a young author, Edith Cushing (Wasikowska), as she falls in love with Sir Thomas Sharpe (Hiddleston) to the dismay of Dr. Alan McMichael (Charlie Hunnam), who is madly in love with Edith. The story takes place in a weathered mansion fit for Mother Ghost."
