The "Warcraft" movie cast and their roles in the upcoming film have been revealed.

Director Duncan Jones has previously revealed that the "Warcraft" movie will begin with a back story on how the Orcs and Humans met. "From the moment I first talked to Blizzard, the plan was to start our film with the first time Orcs met Humans," Jones said.

"It was important that some of our characters would be seeing the world fresh as well, and that the audience could see the situation through their eyes... 'Warcraft' should be about heroes on both sides trying to avoid a conflict, when villains leave them no choice."

The "Warcraft" movie cast is divided into two classes: the Humans of the Alliance and the Orcs of the Horde. Travis Fimmel, who portrays Sir Anduin Lothar, is the leader of the humans. Dominic Cooper is playing King Llane Wrynn, ruler of the human Kingdom of Stormwind.

Prince Varian Wrynn, the son of King Llane is portrayed by Dylan Schombing. Ruth Negga, who played Lady Taria Wrynn or the Queen of Stormwind, is an original character created specifically for the "Warcraft" movie.

Ben Foster plays Magus Medivh the Guardian of Tirisfal while Ben Schnetzer plays Khadgar, Medivh's mage apprentice. Callum Keith Rennie who portrays Moroes is the man who runs Karazhan, Medivh's magical fortress.

The Orcs are led by Durotan, Chieftain of the exiled Frostwolf clan. He is portrayed by Toby Kebbell. Durotan's wife, Draka is played by Anna Galvin. Blackhand the Destroyer, leader of the Horde, is portrayed by Clancy Brown.

Rob Kazinsky plays Orgrim Doomhammer, Blackhand's right hand orc. Gul'dan is played by Daniel Wu, leader of the Shadow Council, while Terry Notary plays Chieftain of the Warsong clan Grommash Hellscream. Half-human, half-orc Garona is portrayed by Paula Patton.

IGN reported that the highly-anticipated "Warcraft" movie trailer is scheduled for official release in November. It was shown at last year's Comic-Con and BlizzCon.
