"How to Train Your Dragon 3" plot, cast and release date updates suggest the end to the Hiccup-Toothless tandem.
Rumors are starting to circulate that the third and final instalment will bid farewell to dragons.
"I'm also playing with the idea of what happened to the dragons and why they are no more, as suggested by Cressida Cowell's books," director Dean DeBlois told Collider.
"So the whole mystery of where did they go? Did they come back? What transpired? I think it's all compelling stuff and it's definitely a story that's gonna have a lot more Toothless emphasis in it. We continue to get more insight into the dragon world and shed light on their intelligence and all the aspects that we've been slowly cooking over the last two films."
"How To Train Your Dragon 3 will mark the end of the Hiccup And Toothless saga, as the two part ways," Movie Pilot noted.
"And their parting is bound to be fraught with regrets and hurt feelings, after a tense buildup revealing that being caught between two worlds does not foster friendship. With Drago returning and a final reveal into the Night Fury origins, could it be that humankind is just too dangerous to dragons? Will Toothless eventually take his tribe into hiding so that no more innocent creatures can be hurt?"
"How to Train Your Dragon 3" plot, cast and release date reports suggest that the movie will be shown in 2016. However A Screen Rant Article reveals that the third movie will be getting a later release date in 2017.
It was previously reported that there might be a fourth flick in development, but Director Dean DeBlois just recently revealed that the third instalment will be the last and will put the epic franchise to an end.
