"Injustice 2" characters may include the Black Canary, Captain Atom and Vixen, among others.

Kdramastars previously reported that there are five DC characters rumored to join the "Injustice 2" character roster. Black Canary, Captain Atom, Vixen, Red Hood and Amazo are said to be featured in the upcoming NetherRealms game as a result of a fan vote.

There are speculations that the "Injustice 2" release date would coincide with the upcoming "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" film. The movie is not only introducing Superman and Batman, but it is opening up the DC Cinematic Universe with the appearances of Wonder Woman, Aquaman and even rumored character, Cyborg.

With the upcoming release of "Batman V Superman" in Mar. 25 2016, it would make sense for "Injustice 2" to be published around March or April of next year. This could be the perfect time for NetherRealms to ride on the film's popularity and ensure success for the game.

There might even be downloadable costumes from "Dawn of Justice" and the forthcoming "Suicide Squad." NetherRealms Studios creative director confirmed "Injustice 2" on Twitter last April.

Den of Geek listed the top 10 "Injustice 2" characters that they would like to be featured in the game: Supergirl, Static, Poison Ivy, The Shade, Red Hood, Captain Cold, Bleez, Darkseid, Amazo and Booster Gold.

Evil Batman is another character that the publication wants to see in "Injustice 2." Now that the first game paved the way to the multiverse and the sequel would most likely have Superman escape prison, Evil Batman would make an awesome boss character.

"Injustice 2" may be a DC vs. Marvel crossover. Last year, the official Facebook page of DC Comics Mexico posted a fan-made image which hinted that the game may be a DC vs. Marvel crossover fighting game.

The image has since been removed. However, the crossover would make sense since Capcom's license to create Marvel games has expired and NetherRealms Studios could pick it up.
