The "Warcraft" movie trailer leak may not be the real thing yet.

GameSpot reported that Duncan Jones, the director of the highly-anticipated film, responded to the recent "Warcraft" movie trailer leak. The official release for the footage is on November.

The grainy footage of the "Warcraft" movie trailer leak showed how humans and Orcs met. Director Duncan Jones has previously revealed that the film will start with a back story on how the two opposing forces met.

The video provided an overview of how the real and CG characters, as well as the environments in the movie, will look like. Footage for the Blizzard film was unveiled in a private screening at the San Diego Comic-Con a few months ago.

Director Duncan Jones replied to the "Warcraft" movie trailer leak on Twitter. His tweet seemed to indicate that there might be even more things in store for fans in the official video.

"I just wish we could show the real thing," Jones tweeted. "You don't like it at low res and covered in user ids?!" the director joked in another post.

According to Den of Geek, the "Warcraft" movie could be successful in making the franchise popular again. There are a lot of gamers and fantasy fans who have not played "WoW" yet. Others might have played the game but left it when they felt that Blizzard has lost its vision.

"It's these groups of people that Blizzard is hoping to entice back into 'WoW' with the help of the 'Warcraft' movie," the publication wrote.

New players may breathe life and liven up the game's community. "By introducing fans to 'WoW' in a movie theater, Blizzard hopes to attract the kind of people who come for the movie and stay for the actual game," the website added.

"Warcraft" movie director Duncan Jones revealed at the San Diego Comic-Con that he aims to make the movie accessible and interesting to everybody, rather than specifically catering to "World of Warcraft" players.

The "Warcraft" movie will premiere on Jun. 2016.
