"How to Train Your Dragon 3" plot, cast and release date rumors continue to spread online.
While DreamWorks has yet to announce any official details about the third flick, speculations abound online. Latest reports are hinting at a controversial ending, which was also subtly hinted by one of the movie's actors, Jay Baruchel (Hiccup).
"The basement of this one has to be as good as the first one, ideally better," he told Empire.
"The best thing about the first movie was that it's fun, it's really charming and incredibly compelling, but also unexpectedly heavy at parts. And so all those same things are the essence of the second one, but amped up. The stakes are higher. We knew that we were doing our Empire Strikes Back."
"I have inklings, I kinda know where it's meant to go. I know where the books end up, I know some of the mile markers, I know what the end results will be," he added.
Another cast member, Cate Blanchett, shared her excitement for the upcoming movie. She plays Valka in the movie.
"I am really excited. I don't know what it's going to be, but Dean has such an extraordinary imagination," she said as reported by Kpopstarz. "And he directed in such a detailed, engaged way - he holds a firm grip on the universe."
If the third movie will closely mirror the novels written by Cressida Cowell, then an all out war between humans and dragons would be showcased in the upcoming movie.
"How to Train Your Dragon 3" plot, cast and release date reports suggest that the movie will be shown in 2016. However A Screen Rant Article reveals that the third movie will be getting a later release date in 2017.
It was previously reported that there might be a fourth flick in development, but Director Dean DeBlois just recently revealed that the third instalment will be the last and will put the epic franchise to an end.
