The "Laserlife" game will be released for PS4 soon.

Alex Neuse, the co-founder of Gaijin Games which is now known as Choice Provisions, has revealed that their next rhythm action "Laserlife" game will be coming to PS4 this month. The studio has previously worked on "Bit.Trip" and "Woah! Dave."

"'Laserlife' is an interactive biography about a dead astronaut floating through deep space who is discovered by future intelligences who have no concept of humankind," Neuse wrote on the PlayStation blog.

"These deep space explorers, who we are leaving up to your imagination, have technology that is capable of extracting the physical elements of memory. As they themselves have no memory or knowledge of humanity, they extract the astronaut's memory fragments to learn about their strange discovery."

Players will need to represent these astronauts and piece together their memories using lasers and to the beat of the music. Neuse admitted that he and fellow co-founder Mike Roush are interested in finding out what humanity is.

"Our intention with Laserlife was to create a rhythm/music game that was accessible to everyone (If switched to Easy Difficulty, even my mom* should be able to complete it)," he stated.

The "Laserlife" game is expected to be played through one sitting. Players will need to explore symbols and find out what it means to be a human. One of the main objectives of the game is to unlock several key memories of the astronaut's life.

Aside from its PS4 version, the "Laserlife" game is also being developed for PC. It is slated for release on Steam and the North American PSN on Sep. 22. The developer has confirmed that it will be available to European consoles soon.

"We don't have an exact date for Europe yet, but we've submitted the game to SCEE for QA and intend to release in Europe as soon as it's approved," Choice Provisions' Dant Rambo told Eurogamer. "We should have a date for you soon!"
