"Attack on Titan" season 2 release date news will be sometime in 2016 and its fan base has been pretty active in coming up with possible plot points. According to the speculations, a major character will die, while another one will lose an extremity.
It is believed that Captain Levi Ackerman is going to meet his end after he tries to save the lives of the Shiganshina trio - Eren Yaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert. Commander Erwin Smith is the character who will be losing his arm. Now that he considers himself to a liability, rumor has it that he will decide to leave the squad.
Considering that these speculations have most likely been derived from the anime's manga version, it is very possible that they might actually happen when "Attack on Titan" season 2 premieres. However, there is also the possibility that anime makers will apply some changes.
Chapter 73 of the anime has yet to come, but Manga Helpers is convinced that the upcoming chapter will focus on Levi's death and its effect on the rest of the squad.

It will also be revealed that the Reiss family has the innate ability to transform themselves to Titans.
That said, it is possible that, at some point within the chapter, Krista could turn into a Titan. However, it must be noted that there are also some members of the squad who have this very same ability. Unbeknownst to the squad, the Armored and Colossal Titans - the very Titans that they have been trying to catch - have actually been hanging out with them all this time.
