"Batman v. Superman" is going to feature very little of Henry Cavill, according to the rumor mill.
Still, despite the rumors that the upcoming film will be showing more of Ben Affleck's Batman and less of Superman, the actor only had good things to say about his co-star.
"I am sure he will be fantastic above all else," Cavill told Total Film, referring to Affleck's acting chops.
"As a film maker, he has got his own style, you know. He is not copying anyone else. He is also, sort of, being tenacious in his career. He has had ups and downs. Now, he is very up again! I think that requires and shows a very special strength of character."
"It is something which I enjoy working with because jobs like this require strength of character," he added. "They require a dedication to the work and belief in oneself. Ben has that, clearly."
Although "Batman v. Superman" star Henry Cavill only had praises to sing about his DC co-star, it was never a secret that not everyone is happy and impressed about the "Gone Girl" actor's casting.
According to multiple online reports, many of the Dark Crusader's fans do not believe that Affleck can do the DC character justice. TIME had even come up with a write-up that tackled why many people were not happy that Warner Bros. chose to hire Affleck.
Apart from "Batman v. Superman" star Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, who will be playing Lois Lane, also supported Affleck.
"He is going to be his own unique thing!" she told Tewkesbury Ad Mag. "He has got a wonderful quality and a great body of work. I was only in one scene with him - I think I am allowed to say that. So, I did not get to see much. But, what I saw was fantastic!"
