Ziva David could still return to "NCIS" season 13, as hinted by Cote De Pablo, herself. After all, show runners have revealed that the upcoming season will be delving deeper into Tony DiNozzo's love life.

When show runner Gary Glasberg was interviewed about the show, he may have given away some key details about Ziva David's return to "NCIS" season 13 by Cote De Pablo.

"Down the road, we will continue to delve into the love life of Tony DiNozzo," Glasberg told The Hollywood Reporter. "There might be some surprises for people a little further down the road into the season on that one, especially for our diehard fans!"

Sadly, however, he would not directly answer questions regarding De Pablo's reprisal of Ziva. "I do not know!" he said jokingly. "We will have to see what unfolds! I am not going to say a word. I am just going to say we will definitely be getting into DiNozzo's love life."

Cote De Pablo, meanwhile, is also open to the possibility of her character returning to "NCIS" season 13. "I think the fact that they never killed the character off is very telling!" she admitted to TV Line. "Under the right circumstances, I think it could definitely be explored!"

It must also be noted that Ziva's return into the "NCIS" storyline might happen after its 13th season, too.

De Pablo also added that she does not have any regrets with the "choices" that she has made. "I spent time with family, which was incredibly important for me!" she said. "I have had time to deal with me, which I could not really do for a long time. So, I am blessed for that. When you make decisions like this, you never expect for people to fully understand."

"It was really delicious to feel that kind of love," she added. "I am always grateful for that!"
