The "Dota 2" 6.85 patch update has been released.

Valve has updated their MOBA's gameplay with the "Dota 2" 6.85 patch. This comes ahead of the upcoming Fall Major tournament which has been recently announced.

The "Dota 2" 6.85 patch update brought several changes which are all listed here. To name a few, Siege Creeps will no longer be buildings and can be targeted by spells, with an 80% spell resistance. Ogre Magi's Bloodlust can now target towers to increase their fire rate as well.

IGN reported that the first "Dota 2" Major tournament will be held in Frankfurt. The event will be from Nov. 16 to 21 at the Festhalle Masse in Frankfurt, Germany. It will feature 16 teams who will be competing for a share of the $3,000,000 prize pool.

The teams will be revealed on Oct. 5, with the Qualifiers running from Oct. 6 to 13 to determine the ranking. The "Dota 2" Major tournament will be open to the public. Only the finals on Nov. 21 will require a ticket, the entrance fee will cost $50.

"Over the last five years, The International has become the pinnacle moment for the world of professional 'Dota,'" Valve wrote on the game's blog.

"Now the excitement of the biggest event in eSports is coming to the Majors, a series of seasonal marquee tournaments, which will take place throughout the year and around the globe."

With the numerous changes brought about by the "Dota 2" 6.85 patch update, it still does not have a surrender option. Its rival "League of Legends" allows teams to surrender after 20 minutes.

According to CinemaBlend, Valve still has not shown any indication that they would be incorporating that feature into "Dota 2." Valve's Erik Johnson explained it previously, via Reddit.

"One of the things we never want to lose is the amazing comeback, like the game we just played - both sides probably would have surrendered in that game at certain points," he said. "That would have been a robbery of fun."
