Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, and Nikki Reed continue their reign on tabloid headlines.

Somerhalder is already married to the "Twilight" actress, but it is rumored that former "The Vampire Diaries" star is not completely over her ex.

Celebrity Dirty Laundry has confirmed that, despite the rumors that Dobrev will be returning to "TVD" soon and that she will reprise her role as Elena Gilbert, the actress, herself, has shot down the claims. Apparently, Dobrev is no longer interested in co-starring with Somerhalder and is ready to outshine him and his wife.

According to the report, Dobrev plans to take on more mature roles so that she can venture out of "The Vampire Diaries" and further her acting career. Clearly, the young actress is pretty hell-bent on emerging out of the shadows of the alleged love triangle of Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, and Nikki Reed.

Rumors that Dobrev was going to return to the highly watched vampire-centric franchise on The CW first surfaced when show runners teased about it. Even her ex-boyfriend, Somerhalder, gave away some cryptic hints about Dobrev's return during this year's San Diego Comic-Con International event.

Since show runners told various media outlets that they will be more than happy to welcome Dobrev back to the show, fans kept riding on the possible return of one of the show's major characters. However, Nina Dobrev has slowly been disassociating herself from "TVD", her ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder, and his wife Nikki Reed. She simply wants to have a change of environment.

"Change - it is a scary word," she said during the 2015 Teen Choice Awards. "I used to think that! It meant new beginnings. New beginnings with a future that was unknown. But, change is necessary. Necessary for you to grow up and learn and to better yourself because everything in life comes to an end."
