Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed are said to be on the verge of divorce.

Celeb Dirty Laundry reported that friends of the newlyweds, who just got married five months ago, were worried that the two young celebrities might have rushed into their marriage. Apparently, Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed have different opinions on what it takes to be husband and wife.

"The Vampire Diaries" actor is excited to start building his family and have children. The 27-year-old "Twilight" actress, on the other hand, still wants to build her career and having a baby might hinder its development.

Last month, speculations surfaced that Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed may be headed for divorce. The couple revealed their wedding pictures online and the big reveal might be an indication of the couple's nostalgic reminiscing of the good old days.

The couple has several dogs and it seemed like the "Twilight" star was fine with having pets for now. However, it might not be enough for Ian Somerhalder anymore.

The publication commented that Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed should have discussed their plans after marriage but they seemed to be too busy proving to the actor's ex-girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, that they are truly in love.

It was previously reported that Nikki Reed is still jealous of Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev's connection. The "Twilight" star is said to have encouraged her husband to leave "The Vampire Diaries" to end his association with his ex-girlfriend. However, it is doubtful that this move will ensure the end of the Ian Somerhalder, Nikki Reed and Nina Dobrev love triangle rumors.

Meanwhile, Nina Dobrev seems to be moving well after her role as Elena Gilbert in "The Vampire Diaries." Deadline reported that she is now headed for another big screen flick after horror-comedy "The Final Girls."

The former "TVD" actress will be part of "Arrivals." She will be joining Asa Butterfield of "Ender's Game" and Maisie Williams of "Game of Thrones." The coming-of-age indie film will be directed by Peter Hutchings
